Melatonin, pillow mists, tart cherry drinks — she tested them all and rated foot soaks the highest.

Lee Min-jung Tried Every Sleep Aid She Could Find

Korean actress Lee Min-jung reviewed a whole lineup of sleep products on her YouTube channel ‘MJ YouTube.’ Tart cherry drinks, melatonin supplements, pillow mists, sleep music — she tried them all and rated each one honestly. The results were a bit unexpected.

  • Tart cherry drink: 2.5/5. “It’s not like you drink it and magically fall asleep.”
  • Melatonin supplements: 3.5/5. “Good for older adults. If you’re young, just get more sunlight.”
  • Pillow mist: 3.5/5. “It can’t cure insomnia, but it takes one second to spray.”
  • YouTube sleep music: 3.8/5. “I listened for five minutes and the next thing I remember is morning.”
  • Foot soak / bath + bath salts: 4/5. “This really works for deep sleep.”
  • Leg massager: 5/5 (personal only). “I keep falling asleep with it on.”

She tried ingesting, spraying, and listening. In the end, physically relaxing the body was the most effective approach. Foot soaks scored the highest at 4 points. The leg massager got a 5, but she said that was purely personal.

Her Daughter Slept 2 Hours and 40 Minutes After a Foot Soak

Relaxing evening foot soak

There’s one episode from the video that really stands out.

Lee Min-jung took her daughter Seohui to a kids’ foot soak cafe. They were told, “Come before nap time.” After the foot soak, Seohui came home and slept for 2 hours and 40 minutes straight.

It works on kids just as well as adults. Warm feet relax the body, and sleep follows. You feel it immediately. We’ve written about why this happens if you’re curious about the science.

The One Downside of Her 4-Star Bath Salts

The bath products Lee Min-jung used were Dr. Teal’s Epsom salt, Nonfiction bath salt, and Aromatica body scrub. She loved them — “smells amazing,” “really relaxing.” A solid 4-star rating.

But she also said this:

“I have a baby, so I can’t do this every day.”

Running a full bath, soaking, and cleaning up takes real time. She mentioned that she always does it when traveling, but at home her son would be knocking on the door asking “Mom, why aren’t you coming out?”

That’s the biggest barrier with full baths. But a foot soak changes things entirely. No bathtub needed — just a basin or foot spa, and you’re done in 20 minutes.

Water Cools Down in 5 Minutes

OVER THE WENZDAY Foot Healing Day and Foot Relaxing Day

Epsom salt bath products are a solid choice. Magnesium relaxes muscles, lavender calms the mind.

But there’s one thing you notice when you actually use them. The water cools down fast. Within 5 minutes it’s already lukewarm. For a foot soak to really work, the warmth needs to last at least 15 minutes. Constantly adding hot water isn’t exactly relaxing.

This is exactly where we found the biggest difference when developing our foot soak products. If the warmth doesn’t last, the benefits are cut in half.

OVER THE WENZDAY’s slurry foot soak gel transforms water into a thick gel that retains warmth for over 15 minutes. On top of that, it contains herbal ingredients recorded in the DonguibogamCnidium, Ginseng, Licorice root, and more — working together to release tension in a way that simple aromatherapy bath salts don’t.

The Fastest Way to Better Sleep Is Relaxing Your Body

Lee Min-jung’s bedtime routine from the video is simple: foot soak 1–2 hours before bed, spray some pillow mist, put on sleep music. But honestly, the foot soak is the one that actually matters. Your body needs to unwind before anything else can help.

No matter what you try, it comes back to the same thing. Start with warm feet. If you’re the type who lies in bed tossing and turning, try just 20 minutes tonight. Tomorrow morning will probably feel a little different.
